Title: |
Program is not authorized after applying service pack
|
Situation: |
You have just applied
a service pack to the initial release of ReWaRD 2.5 (version 2.50,
build 2.5.0.5) and the program now displays the message "The
connected security key is not authorized to run this program"
on starting.
This is caused by ReWaRD 2.5 Service Release 1 (and later) checking
whether the security key has been upgraded from ReWaRD 2.0 to 2.5.
This check was erroneously omitted from ReWaRD 2.50.
|
Solution: |
Upgrade your security key to allow ReWaRD 2.5 to run:
- Insert the Geocentrix Software CD into your CD drive. The Geocentrix
Software Installation program should appear automatically on your
screen (if not, run SETUP.EXE in the root folder of the CD)
- Click on the tab labelled "Upgrade"
- Click on the picture showing a red security key (dongle) to
launch the Geocentrix Security Key Upgrade Utility
- Phone, fax, or email ReWaRD Technical Support (support@geocentrix.co.uk)
to obtain your password, quoting the reference number given by
the upgrade utility (e.g. 658814e1)
- Tick the box labelled "Upgrading ReWaRD 2.0 to 2.5"
and enter the supplied password in the adjacent box
- Click Go and - when prompted to confirm that your security
key is connected to your computer (after checking that it is)
- click OK
- Close the upgrade utility by clicking the Close button
- Run ReWaRD to check that the program is now authorized
