Dr Andrew Bond, MA MSc PhD DIC CEng FICE

Andrew Bond is a chartered civil engineer with over 40 years' experience in the field of geotechnical engineering design, analysis, and research.

He has particular expertise in the behaviour of piled foundations and retaining structures and is the author of the geotechnical design programs ReWaRD and Repute. He was technical author of the latest British codes of practice for retaining structures (BS 8002:2015) and foundations (BS 8004:2015) and advised Network Rail on the latest revisions to its geotechnical design standards.

Andrew co-authored the book, 'Decoding Eurocode 7', several reports and theses, and more than 40 papers and articles covering geotechnical engineering and software development. He is a former Honorary Editor of Geotechnical Engineering (the Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers) and past Chair of TC 250/SC7 (the Eurocode 7 committee) from 2010-2019. He is the current Chair of B/526 Geotechnics.
